Job Title: Lead EPMS EngineerJob DescriptionThe Lead EPMS Engineer will lead the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and related automation solutions for mission-critical facilities. This role focuses on delivering reliable power monitoring, SCADA, and control systems for complex data center and industrial environments, while collaborating closely with contractors, customers, and field service teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and high-performance solutions.Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of EPMS, SCADA, and industrial automation solutions for mission-critical facilities. • Integrate power monitoring devices and intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) into EPMS and related control systems. • Design and configure SCADA/HMI interfaces, including controls integration and industrial communication networks. • Interpret and apply one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, and electrical specifications to develop accurate and robust system designs. • Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and integrated systems testing to validate system performance and compliance. • Oversee startup and commissioning activities in coordination with contractors, customers, and field service teams. • Validate data accuracy, alarm functionality, device communications, and reporting performance across EPMS and related systems. • Provide troubleshooting support during commissioning and operational turnover to resolve technical issues efficiently. • Manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced, critical facility environments while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. • Demonstrate strong leadership, accountability, and attention to detail in all phases of project execution. Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • 7+ years of experience in EPMS, SCADA, industrial automation, power monitoring, or mission-critical facility engineering. • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and data center infrastructure. • Proven experience integrating power monitoring devices and intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). • Hands-on experience with SCADA/HMI design, controls integration, and industrial communication networks. • Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, and electrical specifications. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and project stakeholders. • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities in technical project environments. • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. • Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, critical facility environments. • High level of accountability, technical expertise, and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert (PME). • Experience working in data center BMS/EPMS environments. • Knowledge of automation platforms such as Rockwell, Emerson, Schneider Electric, or Ignition. • Relevant certifications such as NICET, ISA CAP, Schneider Electric, Ignition, or Rockwell certifications. • Experience with VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualized EPMS environments. • Experience in BMS and EPMS systems, including power monitoring and industrial automation. • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and field service teams. Work EnvironmentThis is a 5‑month project-based role located in Michigan, operating primarily within a manufacturing facility where skids are built and prepared for deployment to mission-critical sites. The standard schedule consists of five 8-hour workdays per week, with the potential for varying overtime depending on project demands. You will work hands-on with leading EPMS, automation, and power monitoring technologies, including SCADA, BMS, EPMS platforms, and industrial communication networks. The environment is fast-paced and focused on safety, precision, and quality, supporting complex, high-impact projects for critical facilities. A daily per diem is provided while working on this assignment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
