You will work from home in an approved state, supporting night shift operations aligned to the Pacific Time Zone, and perform clinical drug utilization reviews, regulatory-compliant dispensing, and automation-enabled fulfillment. The position plays a key role in making it easier for customers to access, afford, and properly use their medications through transparent pricing, 24/7 support, and convenient home delivery.Responsibilities
• Perform clinical Drug Utilization Review (DUR) for pharmacy customers to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate medication use. • Maintain comprehensive customer profiles, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications such as over-the-counter products and home remedies. • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential drug–drug and drug–disease interactions, and route of administration, and make therapy change recommendations to prescribers when appropriate. • Operate, utilize, monitor, and troubleshoot pharmacy automation systems and automated dispensing and fulfillment technology to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of prescription orders. • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and engineering or technical teams to resolve automation issues, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards. • Accurately dispense controlled substances in accordance with all applicable DEA regulations and state-specific pharmacy laws. • Maintain thorough, timely, and auditable records of all controlled substance transactions, including inventory management, reconciliation, and required reporting. • Provide clinical support by answering clinical questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting patients and healthcare professionals as needed. • Collaborate with healthcare team members and document all healthcare team communications in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. • Investigate and resolve medication errors, including identifying root causes and contributing to corrective and preventive actions. • Implement and follow policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations. • Maintain required regulatory documentation to support compliance with all applicable statutes, rules, and organizational policies. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety, operational efficiency, and customer experience. • Support pharmacy operations across departments as needed, including data entry, prior authorization support, and other operational tasks. • Perform physical tasks as needed that may include warehouse-related work and the ability to lift items as required for safe and compliant operations. Essential Skills
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy License in the state of employment, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses if required. • Demonstrated experience performing clinical Drug Utilization Review (DUR). • Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy information systems. • Ability to accurately perform data entry for prescription and clinical information. • Experience supporting prior authorization processes or related pharmacy benefit workflows. • Ability to work night shifts that support the Pacific Time Zone schedule. • Capability to operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation and automated dispensing systems. • Understanding of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations governing pharmacy practice and controlled substances. • Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining high-quality customer service and attention to detail. • Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, or similar technology-enabled pharmacy environment. • Comfort working in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment with evolving processes and technologies. Work EnvironmentThis is a work-from-home position available to pharmacists residing in specific approved states, with a preference for candidates located in Arizona, and opportunities also available in Texas, Indiana, New Hampshire, Florida, and New York, subject to licensing requirements. The role is fully remote but aligned to the Pacific Time Zone. You will work in a technology-driven environment that uses pharmacy automation, automated dispensing and fulfillment systems, and modern pharmacy information systems to support safe and efficient prescription processing. Collaboration occurs virtually with pharmacy technicians, engineering or technical teams, and other healthcare professionals. While the position is primarily remote and computer-based, there may be occasional physical or warehouse-related tasks, including lifting items as needed, depending on specific operational requirements. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
