Job Title: Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift)Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift) supports the lead manufacturing engineer by troubleshooting production equipment, performing and authoring preventive maintenance procedures, and calibrating machinery to ensure optimal performance. This role plays a key part in maintaining reliable manufacturing operations within a growing medical industry environment. Responsibilities • Support the lead manufacturing engineer in maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment performance. • Perform troubleshooting on production equipment, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues. • Execute preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. • Author preventive maintenance checklists and procedures to guide technicians and operators in properly maintaining equipment. • Develop and document calibration specifications to keep equipment running at optimal performance levels. • Perform equipment calibration activities according to defined specifications and quality requirements. • Contribute to IQ/OQ/PQ activities to support equipment qualification and process validation. • Collaborate closely with technicians, operators, and engineering staff to address equipment issues and improve processes. • Follow established safety, quality, and regulatory procedures while working on manufacturing equipment. • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, process efficiency, and product quality. Essential Skills • 1–5 years of experience working with manufacturing equipment in a production or engineering environment. • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and performing root cause analysis. • Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance on production machinery. • Experience authoring preventive maintenance checklists and procedures for equipment. • Experience with equipment calibration and defining calibration requirements for optimal performance. • Ability to support and participate in IQ/OQ/PQ activities related to equipment and process validation. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement practical solutions. • Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and operators in a team-oriented environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in a medical or regulated manufacturing environment is beneficial. • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in manufacturing settings. • Comfort working in a fast-growing organization with evolving processes and customer demands. • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset focused on solving issues rather than assigning blame. Work EnvironmentThis is a 2nd shift position with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required and will be planned in advance. The role operates in a medical industry manufacturing environment that offers stability and is experiencing growth driven by investment in new product development and an expanding customer base. You will work closely with a principal manufacturing engineer and a broader team that values a healthy culture, collaboration, and a mindset of working as one team with a strong focus on solving issues constructively. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
