YOUR ROLE Join our Sales Team in a full-time permanent role as the Client Executive to lead our Federal Government Agencies territory, based in Canberra. You will have the opportunity to drive growth in a critical sector while establishing yourself as a vertical industry leader in cybersecurity. Your focus will be on delivering tailored cybersecurity solutions that address the unique needs of Federal Government departments, leveraging Thales’ global expertise and cutting-edge capabilities.
• Portfolio Ownership: Act as the strategic leader owning all aspects of client engagement, revenue generation, and long-term strategy for Federal Government accounts.
• Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and account plans to achieve revenue targets and drive pipeline growth.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers in Federal Government departments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (pre-sales, partnerships, marketing, capability leaders) to align efforts and deliver integrated cybersecurity solutions
• Full Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to deal closure, ensuring successful delivery in collaboration with the capabilities organisation.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• Proven track record in Australian Federal Government sales with experience managing large portfolios or territories
• Demonstrated cybersecurity knowledge
• Exceptional communication, and negotiation skills, tailored to high-level government stakeholders
• Experience in developing business models, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies
• Strong understanding of security solutions, products, and market dynamics
• Proven experience in business development, client management, or portfolio growth
• Creative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.
