What You'll Do As a Manager – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG's India PIPE Practice Area, you will work in a growing team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute to cases through thought partnership in your area of expertise, deliver original analyses and insights helping drive strong impact with clients. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions. You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, providing insights & advice for proposals and client workshops. Additionally, as a Manager – BCG Vantage, you may lead development of intellectual property & assets for the business and mentor and guide junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise. BCG's Principal Investors and Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area is one of the firm's largest and fastest-growing practices, working with the world's leading investment firms across the full deal and value-creation lifecycle — from thesis generation and commercial due diligence through 100-day planning, hold-period value creation, and exit readiness. To succeed in this environment, our teams blend deep investor perspective with digital and human capabilities, bringing rigorous diligence discipline, portfolio operating expertise, and proprietary data and tools to every engagement. You will support commercialization efforts across PIPE topics and asset classes — contributing diligence-ready analysis, benchmarking, and insights to proposals, investment committee materials, client workshops, and marketing content
What You'll Bring • 3+ years consulting experience in relevant PIPE required, candidates with private equity, investment banking, or transaction advisory consulting experience preferred • In lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years minimum industry experience required (e.g., private equity, investment banking, corporate development, portfolio operations); 5-8+ years of relevant industry experience strongly preferred • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree, e.g., MBA or CFA, preferred) • Fluency in English; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders — including deal teams, investor clients, and portfolio company executives — while working in a collaborative team environment • Practical fluency with GenAI and modern development tools (e.g., APIs, custom GPTs / AI Skills, coding assistants such as Claude Code or Cursor, GitHub, cloud platforms) strongly preferred; comfort learning new tools as the diligence and analytics landscape evolves • Familiarity with investor workflows and terminology (e.g., LOIs, IC memos, LBO mechanics, value creation plans, GP/LP reporting) a strong plus • Strong problem solving skills
Who You'll Work With As a Manager – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants in India, for India. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Research (Practice Topic and Sector-Aligned Research and Insights) • Delivers actionable research and insights tailored to the client project’s needs; works with qualitative and quantitative data, conducts research and provides synthesized results from sources including commercial data, public and open source, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities and trade data YOU'RE GOOD AT • Solving complex investor and portfolio-company problems through relevant analytical approaches and customized solutions across one or more PIPE topic areas or asset classes (e.g., commercial due diligence, value creation, exit readiness, private credit, infrastructure investing) • Engaging senior stakeholders and client team members, delivering targeted communication based on stakeholder settings - deal partners, portfolio operating executives, and investor clients — demonstrating the ability to engage a sophisticated, deal-focused audience effectively • Demonstrating rapid learning agility across emerging technologies and analytical assets to enhance diligence quality, develop products, and create scalable, repeatable and knowledge frameworks tailored to investor workflows • Managing projects with ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating business sense and adaptability • Training, coaching, and mentoring junior team members • Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment At BCG, our people and relationships are at the heart of everything we do.
