About this role
General Description: Responsible for mitigation of COVID-19 or other viral risks in the YES House School thru screening youth on a daily basis, assisting and supervising symptomatic youth prior to sending home, cleaning and sanitizing school areas on a daily basis to ensure a safe environment.
Essential Functions
• Screen incoming students daily for symptoms and temperature
• Assist with pocket checks and screening clients in the morning.
• Assist food services to ensure meals are served in accordance with governmental orders
• Clean sanitize classrooms and school equipment on a daily basis
• Administer noon medications at lunch and maintain the medication log
• Attend internal departmental and interagency meetings as scheduled.
• Attend staff development as required by agency policy.
• Report to Education Director weekly or as requested.
• Assist teachers, liaisons or behavior specialist in the lunch opportunity room as needed
• Maintain "line of sight" supervision of clients at all times
• Positive role modeling for clients, families, staff, agency and community
• Help assist classroom teachers in the classroom
• Other duties as assigned by Education Director.

• Teach age-appropriate daily living skills.
• Participation in specials and daily activities
Required Experience, Education, Certification
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable on agency insurance
• Able to pass DCI Background Check and Abuse & Neglect screen
• Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds and be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must pass all required drug and alcohol screenings
