About this role

The Role

The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is seeking a dynamic and organized Foundation Special Events and Outreach Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of events and outreach programs that support our mission. This role will support the Director of The Classic Center Cultural Foundation in coordinating member trips. It is ideal for someone passionate about arts, education, and community engagement, with strong experience in event planning, fundraising, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute fundraising and membership events such as:

• Celebration of the Arts, Athens Wine Weekend, Athens Beer Fest, and the CF Golf Tournament

• Support the Director with coordinating annual travel experiences including:

• New York trip, summer trip, 501 Club trip, and other regional excursions

• Develop and manage event and trip budgets to meet fundraising goals

• Collaborate with leadership to create sustainable fundraising strategies

• Cultivate member relationships and build recruitment/referral systems

• Lead volunteer coordination for events like Athens on Ice and Athens Beer Fest

• Administer the Cultural Foundation’s community grant program

• Oversee workforce development initiatives including:

• Hospitality Careers Academy, Learning Lab, and student co-op curriculum

• Manage the Foundation’s scholarship program and art initiatives

• Serve as lead for the Georgia Music Collective within Akins Ford Arena

• Maintain CRM and other software systems for member and sponsor engagement

• Support board presentations, retreats, and strategic planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 3–5 years of experience in customer service, event planning, or related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly

• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

• Demonstrated competence in accounting and budget management

The candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
