About the Role
We are looking for an Arabic-Speaking Content Moderator to join our team. In this role, you will review product listings and related platform content to ensure that information is accurate, complete and compliant with platform policies and guidelines.
You will be responsible for identifying content that may violate these policies and taking the appropriate action, including approving, flagging, restricting, removing or escalating content for further review.
This is an onsite position based in Maadi, Cairo.

Content moderation is a specialised role and may involve reviewing text, images or product listings containing explicit, offensive or potentially distressing material. This may include offensive language, nudity or sexual content, violence, discriminatory or hateful material, and other inappropriate content.
Exposure to this type of material is an inherent part of the position. Applicants should carefully consider their comfort and suitability for this work before applying.
The position also requires full availability for a rotating schedule, including night shifts and Friday shifts. Friday shifts may overlap with the period commonly observed for Jumma prayer. Applicants of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome; however, reliable availability for the complete assigned shift rotation is an essential requirement of the role.

Key Responsibilities
• Review Arabic product listings and related text or images for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Assess content against platform policies, quality standards and moderation guidelines.
• Identify and flag suspected infringements of intellectual property rights, including potentially counterfeit or unauthorised products.
• Identify and take appropriate action on explicit, offensive or otherwise prohibited content, including offensive language, nudity, sexual content and violence.
• Approve, reject, remove, restrict or escalate content in accordance with established procedures.
• Apply moderation policies consistently and objectively across all content reviewed.
• Accurately document moderation decisions and maintain complete records.
• Escalate unclear, sensitive or high-risk cases through the appropriate channels.
• Meet agreed accuracy, quality and productivity standards.
• Remain up to date with changes to platform policies, workflows and moderation guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
What You Bring
• A university degree in any discipline.
• Fluency in Arabic, with the ability to understand written language, context and nuance.
• A basic ability to read and write in English.
• Good computer skills and the ability to navigate digital systems efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential policy violations.
• Sound judgement and the ability to make consistent, policy-based decisions.
• The ability to remain focused when performing repetitive and detail-oriented work.
• Comfort reviewing potentially explicit, offensive or distressing content as described above.
• Adaptability to changing policies, processes and working hours.
• Full availability to work onsite across the complete rotational shift schedule, including nights, Fridays, weekends and public holidays where scheduled.
Working Schedule
This role follows a rotational shift pattern:
• 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
The role operates on a six-day working week, with a rotational rest day. Scheduled working days may include Fridays, weekends and public holidays.
Shift arrangements and applicable breaks will be explained during the recruitment process. Shift patterns are subject to change based on business requirements.
