Clinical Applications Specialist - Missoula, MT - Full-Time

Partners In Home Care is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Applications Specialist to join our team on-site in Missoula, MT. The Clinical Applications Specialist will be responsible for promoting evidence-based practice, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and strong user adoption through education, workflow redesign, system optimization, and data-driven improvement.

Essential Job Functions

Clinical Informatics, System Optimization & Implementation

• Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for the electronic health record (EHR), Home Care Home Base and Care Tend, along with other clinical technologies.

• Assess clinical workflows, recommend and implement technology solutions that improve patient care, staff efficiency, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance.

• Partner with clinical leadership to design, standardize, and continuously improve workflows that align with organizational goals and best practices.

• Lead and participate in all phases of clinical technology projects — needs assessment, workflow mapping, solution design, configuration, testing, user acceptance testing, go-live support, and post-implementation optimization — while minimizing disruption to patient care.

• Coordinate clinical readiness activities and support organizational strategic initiatives involving clinical technology and innovation.

Clinical Education & Training

• Develop and deliver training on clinical applications, documentation standards, workflows, and technology enhancements.

• Create user guides, workflow documents, and other educational resources.

• Provide one-on-one coaching and ongoing support to clinical staff before, during, and after implementation projects.

• Promote clinical adoption through education, mentoring, and change management strategies.

Analytics, Quality Improvement & Continuous Learning

• Use clinical and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and assist with dashboard development and performance reporting.

• Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, and Clinical Operations leadership to support quality improvement initiatives.

• Recommend best practices based on data analysis, industry standards, and emerging healthcare technology and regulatory trends.

• Maintain competency in clinical informatics through ongoing professional development.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Vendor Support

• Serve as the clinical liaison between Operations, IT, vendors, and clinical staff, providing expert consultation on clinical technology, workflow optimization, and documentation standards.

• Participate in interdisciplinary committees, project teams, and strategic planning initiatives, and assist in evaluating new technologies and software.

• Partner with software vendors and implementation partners on upgrades, enhancements, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization, maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education

• Nursing background preferred, other clinical disciplines accepted.

Licensure

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Experience

• Minimum five (5) years of progressive clinical nursing experience preferred; Home Health, Hospice, Acute Care, or Community-Based Healthcare experience preferred.

• Minimum three (3) years supporting clinical information systems, workflow redesign, education, implementation, or project management preferred; clinical informatics experience preferred.

• Experience with Home Care Home Base, Well Sky/CareTend, Sysaid, and Forcura/Mosaic preferred.

• Experience leading technology implementation projects preferred.
