As an HME Patient Service Technician, you deliver vital Home Medical Equipment (HME) directly to patients' homes, ensuring they receive the support needed for independent living. Department: HME

Schedule: Full-Time. Typically M-F with occasional evenings/weekends coverage.

Location: Based out of our Missoula, MT office, requires travel to other counties within our service area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivers and picks up a wide range of Home Medical Equipment (HME) to and from patient residences and healthcare facilities.

• Performs thorough Equipment Setup, including assembly, installation, and configuration of HME according to manufacturer specifications and patient needs.

• Educates patients and caregivers on the proper use, maintenance, and safety of HME, ensuring complete understanding and comfort.

• Provides exceptional Customer Service, addressing patient questions, concerns, and technical issues with professionalism and empathy.

• Conducts routine Equipment Maintenance and performs minor repairs or adjustments on-site to ensure optimal functionality.

• Executes effective Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly, minimizing patient inconvenience.

• Manages daily Delivery Services routes efficiently, adhering to schedules and company policies.

• Completes accurate Documentation for all deliveries, setups, services, and patient interactions, maintaining meticulous records.

• Assists with Inventory Management by tracking equipment, supplies, and parts, ensuring proper stock levels and organization.

• Maintains up-to-date Product Knowledge on all HME offerings, new technologies, and relevant industry standards.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• One year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or technical service environment.

• Experience with Equipment Setup or Delivery Services is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills

• Possesses strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting.

• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in Patient Care and Customer Service interactions.

• Exhibits a foundational understanding of Home Medical Equipment (HME) and its applications.

• Manages time effectively and organizes daily tasks for efficient Delivery Services.

• Maintains accurate records and Documentation with attention to detail.

• Holds a valid driver's license and maintains a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions

• Lifts and carries heavy equipment, often exceeding 50 pounds, independently and with assistance.

• Bends, stoops, kneels, and reaches frequently to set up and service equipment.

• Works in various home environments, which may include navigating stairs or confined spaces.

• Drives a company vehicle for extended periods throughout the day in diverse weather conditions.

• Responds to on-call duties as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
