ポジション概要
VFXエディターおよびエディトリアルチームを補佐し、映像素材の管理、ワークフローの維持、およびレビュー環境の整備を主導します。技術と管理の両面から、スタジオの円滑な制作進行を支える重要な役割です。
主な業務内容(要約)
• 素材管理: 命名規則やメタデータ基準に従った、プレート素材の正確な取り込みと整理。
• 編集サポート: シーケンスのコンフォーム、タイムライン管理、MiniEdit等の作成・準備。
• ショット・アセット管理: ShotGrid等のツールを用いた、最新の編集状況やショットバージョンの反映と追跡。
• 品質管理と納品: VFXショット、スキャンチェック、クライアント納品用パッケージのQC(品質管理)。
• 環境・コミュニケーション支援: スクリーニングルームのセットアップ、制作チーム間での橋渡し、および必要に応じた日英翻訳・通訳。

We are looking for an Editorial Assistant to join our Tokyo-based team. You will play a vital role in supporting the VFX editorial team, acting as the foundation for the smooth delivery of world-class VFX for film and television. This role is part of the connective thread between editorial, production, and the creative pipeline, ensuring that every frame is accounted for and every deadline is met.
This role is well suited to detail-oriented individuals, comfortable communicating in Japanese, who thrive in fast-paced production environments and are eager to grow their skills within the VFX and post-production industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Ingest and File Management: Assist in the ingestion of plates, maintaining strict adherence to naming conventions, metadata standards, and folder structures to keep our media repository pristine.
• Editorial Support: Help conform sequences, update edits, manage bins and timelines, and support the preparation of sequences for client submissions and internal reviews.
• Shot and Asset Tracking: Ensure all edits accurately reflect current shot versions, publishing editorial references into our tracking systems to keep the wider team in sync.
• QC and Deliverables: Collaborate with the team to perform quality control checks on VFX shots, MiniEdits, and client delivery packages, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Animatics and Reels: Support the Lead VFX Editor in exporting storyboard panels, creating animatics, and preparing showreels and presentation materials.
• End-of-Show Wrap: Log final approved VFX takes accurately in the internal media repository.
• Screening Room Management: Take ownership of the screening room setup for client and director reviews, ensuring all spaces are prepared, technical issues are resolved, and the environment is ready for presentation.
• Communication Liaison: Serve as a clear, proactive link between editorial, production, and supervisors, relaying notes and updates with precision.
• Language and Team Support: Provide translation and interpretation support in English and Japanese as needed, and participate in training to expand your knowledge of editorial workflows.
What You’ll Bring
• Passion & Experience: A strong interest in film, television, and animation. Relevant experience in editorial or post-production is a plus; fresh graduates with the right aptitude are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in non-linear editing software and a solid understanding of film pipelines, codecs, and VFX terminology.
• Communication Skills: Confident, professional communicator in Japanese.
• Organisation & Initiative: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy in a busy environment.
