Job Summary
The Welder/Fitter I position is a vital member of the Operations Team contributing to our safety culture, providing high productivity, accurate fit-welds, high quality finish welds, flexibility in assignments, and supporting continuous improvement in the following capacities:
Key Responsibilities Include
• Fit small parts like chutes, brackets, troughs, plate pack parts, scum pipes, some floc parts, guards, some belt conveyor parts, some slide gate parts, supports
• Using blueprints, tooling, fixturing, fit-weld JMS equipment to proper dimensional arrangements
• Perform Tig welds on a variety of thicknesses, sizes, and orientations of equipment (mainly 316 and 304 SS)
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Use basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, square, etc.
Required Qualifications

Desired Experience and Skills
• Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, etc…
• Read tape measure
• Perform mathematical calculations required for fabrication
• Understand and comfortable adding and subtracting fractions and decimals
• Basic tool and shop knowledge
Education
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
