About the Role
As the Clinical Manager, you will be a member of FIREFLY's Leadership Team and play a central role in overseeing clinical services for children and youth. You will support a team of professionals, guide program delivery, and work collaboratively across the organization and community to strengthen services and outcomes.
• Provide leadership and oversight to clinical professionals and support staff.
• Manage day-to-day service delivery, programs, and clinical operations. Portfolio will have a focus in diagnostic services.
• Promote service excellence by monitoring performance and implementing strategic improvements and leading a team of dedicated clinicians and staff, promoting professional growth and clinical excellence.
• Support staff through coaching, supervision, training, and performance review.
• Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
• Ensure clinical and service data is accurate, meets Ministry requirements, and supports quality decision-making.
• Participate in agency-wide service planning and contribute to FIREFLY's strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team members and community partners to enhance service coordination and access.
• Represent FIREFLY in community partnerships and system planning initiatives as required.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
• Effectively manage complex, sensitive clinical and operational situations.
• Lead and manage the delivery of services across our regional service area.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvements and client-centered care.
• Support integrated, cross-program service delivery through collaborative planning and partnership development.
• Represent FIREFLY in community planning tables and initiatives that enhance access to services for children and youth.
• Perform other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
• Master's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in child and youth development services or related areas.
• 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Professional registration with a relevant regulatory body (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
• Strong team leadership, supervision and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to support data-informed service planning and quality improvement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in FIREFLY's Management Competency Framework, including Client Focus, Emotional Intelligence, and Results Oriented.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Sound judgment, diplomacy, and ability to manage complex and sensitive situations.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and a high volume of work.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in children's developmental health.
• Understanding of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client centered care.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication skills.
