VACANCY: Down Trade Sales Representative
CPJ St. Lucia Ltd. is seeking to recruit a Grocery Supervisor to join our Retail Department.
Accountable for managing Grocery and General Merchandise Departments, overseeing ordering, inventory control, sales, marketing, profit maximization, customer relations, accounting, personnel supervision, industrial relations, and statutory compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Efficiently order and manage deliveries to ensure continuous product availability.
• Strategize the product mix for optimal sales and gross profits.
• Control inventories to prevent stockouts, overstocking, and spoilage.
• Oversee proper handling, storage, and accounting of received products.
• Enhance sales and profits through appealing product displays and timely restocking.
• Implement effective advertising and sales promotion strategies.
• Maintain a courteous and friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Handle customer transactions efficiently and in line with established standards.
• Ensure strict compliance with government regulations regarding product sale, storage, and handling.
• Manage store keys, participate in store opening/closing, and be available for emergency calls.
• Utilize in-store computers for relevant store operations.
• Manage sales, banking, and cash accountability as required.
• Oversee ancillary services and ensure adherence to company standards.
• Collaborate within the Store Management Team for overall store operations.
• Maintain equipment and facilities to optimum working condition.
• Ensure product quality and conformity to company standards.
• Monitor competition and strategize competitive purchasing.
• Uphold the Company’s Customer Service Philosophy consistently.
Educational Requirements:
• Associate degree/Diploma in Management or minimum three to five years’ retail experience.
• Computer literacy (proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Required Attitudes and Skills:
• Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
• Capability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Industrial Relations.
