As we embark on this significant infrastructure project, which is still in its early stages of development, we are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Senior Planner to join our team. This is a pivotal role that offers the opportunity to shape the project's future, developing the detail of the MEHA scope.
• Reporting to the Head of Scheduling & Planning, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the electrical programme across both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Alliance delivery strategy. During Phase 1, the focus will be on supporting subcontract delivery, integrating supplier and subcontract schedules, and developing the programme maturity needed to establish a robust project controls baseline. During Phase 2, you will work closely with Project Managers and Construction Leads to develop detailed installation schedules and ensure readiness for successful project execution.
• At this stage of the project, your role will be crucial in developing the electrical detail to underpin a performance management baseline that will support the project through delivery and successful completion. This baseline will serve as the cornerstone for future tracking, forecasting and reporting activities, ensuring the project remains aligned with its objectives as it progresses.
• Working across both client and internal teams, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Construction Leads, suppliers and key stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring effective integration of the electrical scope into the wider MEH Schedule and Integrated Work Schedule (IWS).
• Your drive for detail will be critical in ensuring the schedule is robust and aligned to best practice, supporting safe, efficient and successful project delivery through innovative thinking, strong stakeholder engagement and collaborative ways of working.

Team collaboration:
Engage with a pro-active approach for collating information and communicating key schedule information to relevant stakeholders. Approach and take direct action to set up collaboration sessions to support delivery of the project utilising the schedule as a key driver in delivery success. Develop and further refine the activity detail with the project managers and subject matter experts to continuously improve the upcoming maturity of the schedule data. Schedule Management:
Develop, maintain, and update initial project schedules using tools like Primavera or MS Project. Establish the sequencing and tracking methodologies that will guide the project as it progresses. Support the development and integration of subcontractor and supplier schedules during Phase 1 of the Alliance programme, ensuring alignment with wider project objectives and programme milestones. Feeding the electrical elements of the schedule in to the overall detailed MEH schedule and mapping back to the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS) , reviewing and integrating supplier information, working with the key stakeholders, communicating key information and flagging successes / risks in period. Work closely with Project Managers and Construction Leads to develop robust installation schedules and delivery readiness plans, ensuring the electrical scope is fully integrated and prepared for future execution activities. Forward planning to highlight any potential risks in a timely manager and drive mitigation sessions with the project managers. Scenario Schedule planning:
Carry out scenario planning where required to understand adjustment event impacts on key milestones / interfaces or potential opportunities; presenting the information visually for acceptance by the wider team. P6 skills:
Expert skills within P6 software with displaying the data, adding activities, resources, costs and baselines with the correct calendar to adhere to the procedures in place within the project. Subject Matter Expert:
Utilise planning experience from other projects and knowledge to challenge and support the scope owner for successful efficient delivery of the scope. Health and Best Practice:
Ensure a basis of schedule for the electrical scope is defined and bound to support the schedule information and a clear audit trail for applying baselines and monthly progress is thoroughly undertaken with spotlight schedules issued and stored in a shared file for access by the required stakeholders. Drive the development of schedule information with the adequate level of detail for the phase of the works with rolling wave planning methodology approach. Carry out schedule checks on a periodic basis to ensure the health and robustness of the schedule is maintained. Wider Understanding of Project Controls:
