About this role

We are looking for a dedicated and resourceful Handyperson to join our team on a relief basis. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring our building is safe, well-maintained, and fully operational. Your work will help create a comfortable and welcoming environment for the people who use our services, as well as for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out minor repairs and maintenance task.Assist with moving furniture and equipment in line with health and safety guidelines.Maintain accurate records relating to property maintenance and repairs.Escort and support contractors and tradespeople while they are working on-site.Identify and report maintenance issues, recommending any work that may be required.Participate in mandatory health and safety training and comply with organisational policies and procedures.Support the overall upkeep and presentation of the premises. About You

The ideal candidate will be practical, reliable, and proactive, with a positive approach to problem-solving. You will be comfortable working independently and communicating effectively with colleagues, contractors, and management.

You should have:

Basic maintenance, DIY, or repair skills.A flexible and adaptable approach to work.Basic computer skills to complete mandatory e-learning and record-keeping requirements.An understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or similar role would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
