About this role
Southeast Valley Community School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Middle School Title I Literacy Teacher to provide targeted reading instruction and intervention to students who need additional support in developing literacy skills. Position Responsibilities
• Provide targeted literacy instruction and interventions to middle school students.
• Assess student literacy needs and use data to guide instruction.
• Develop and implement effective, differentiated reading strategies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of student progress and interventions.
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and confidence.
Qualifications
• Valid Iowa teaching license with appropriate licensure/endorsement for the position.
• Reading/literacy endorsement preferred or required as applicable.
• Experience providing reading intervention or literacy instruction preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to helping students develop foundational and advanced literacy skills.
