Position: Business Manager/Board Clerk Qualifications: Applicants must have a high school diploma and previous experience in business, accounting, or secretarial skills. A strong background in budgeting preferred, including an understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) , federal, and state law, administrative rules, and board policy. Ability to maintain accurate and precise records according to federal and state law, and board policy. Experienced with computers, including word processing, data bases, spread sheets and reports. Must have exceptional organizational, interpersonal skills and detail oriented. Applicants must be extremely self-motivated and have excellent communication skills. Maintain confidentiality of staff and students. Selected applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications: Applicants are not required to have a business or accounting degree, but it is preferred. Previous experience working for a school district, specifically using Skyward software. Knowledge of board policy, governing school districts: including those related to administration, risk management, purchasing, transportation, food service, school plant operations, and facility planning. Salary/ Benefits: Pay rate dependent on experience ranging from $64,000-$75,000. Employee medical and dental insurance coverage paid 100% by the district.
