Junior High Strength and Conditioning Coach The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for developing and overseeing a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for junior high school student-athletes. This includes planning and supervising summer and before-school weightlifting sessions, promoting proper lifting techniques, injury prevention, and overall athletic performance. The coach will work collaboratively with sport coaches to support athletes' training needs and foster a safe, positive, and disciplined environment in the weight room. Responsibilities:
• Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for all student-athletes.
• Supervise and instruct proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
• Lead summer and before-school weightlifting sessions.
• Communicate and collaborate with sport coaches to support team and individual performance goals.
• Promote a culture of hard work, accountability, and sportsmanship.
Qualifications:
• Previous coaching or strength and conditioning experience required.
• Strong knowledge of strength training principles, conditioning techniques, and injury prevention strategies.
• Certification through a recognized organization (e.g., NSCA-CSCS, NASM, USAW, or ACSM) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, exercise science, physical education, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and athletic staff.
