Student Device Technician For Powdersville Area Schools Position Details
• Job Title: Student Device Technician
• Department: Digital Learning Team
• Reports To: Director of Digital Learning
• Length of Contract: 220 Days
• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree preferred, two year degree required or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Please see attached job description for specific skill requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
• Student Device Management: Issue student devices at the start of the school year and collect them at the end of the year. Coordinate new device setup and configuration during annual rollovers.
• Student Device Support: Manage and respond to student device support tickets in an organized, timely manner. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on student machines.
• Communication: Communicate with staff and students about basic student device procedures.
• Repair Operations: Process broken units and initiate out-of-house repair orders with vendors like Lexicon Tech Solutions and Apple.
• Inventory & Asset Tracking: Partner with school administration to track down missing hardware, lost chargers, and unreturned student units.
• Testing & On-Site Support: Remain on-site during state testing windows to provide immediate technical assistance and resolve live issues.
• Additional Duties: Perform other technology-related duties as assigned by district leadership.
