** RI Teacher Certification - Secondary Social Studies Grades 6-12** Prepares and implements well-organized curricula in which students are engaged in relevant, thoughtful, challenging work. Differentiates instruction based on the needs of each student. Establishes a learning environment of high expectations that supports students Employs techniques that encourage critical thinking and problem solving. Uses a variety of current technologies to enhance instruction and to advance students’ technological literacy. Uses various methods of assessment; uses data to plan instruction.
