• Implement curricula using HQIM and activities to engage students in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, or Statistics through dynamic, interactive lessons and meet academic standards;
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards;
• Connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications, technology and STEM careers
• Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices;
• Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions;
• Be accountable for student's mastery of academic standards; and
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Possess or be eligible for a MA teaching license in high school mathematics, including SEI endorsement
• Strong content knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching math at the high school level & educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
• Ability to think critically, problem-solve, backwards plan, analyze & use data and prioritize the needs of the student
• Teaching experience with a proven track record of producing dramatic achievement gains is ideal
• Unwavering belief that all students can achieve at high levels and strong commitment to do whatever it takes for all our students to be college-ready
