About this role
Job summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and confidence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifetime of learning by supporting the school's restorative practices while managing behavior, lunch and recess. Responsibilities and tasks include:
• Maintaining a safe and respectful environment in the lunch room, hallways, during recess, and lunch;
• Assisting with exit/entrance exits during fire drills, and for daycare buses;
• Supervising students taking tests;
• Preparing materials for students and families;
• Greeting visitors, students, families, and/or staff members as they enter the building and handing out appropriate passes and/or directions;
• Answering and transferring phone calls;
• Creating and maintaining relevant data as it relates to behavior, lunch, recess, busses, other
•
• Maintaining and organizing copy rooms and supply rooms.
Minimum qualifications include:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to type, maintain records and file.
• Computer experience helpful.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
• Working with children;
• Communicating effectively in verbal and written formats;
• Developing collaborative working relationship with students and staff;
• Using positive behavior intervention strategies;
