POSITION: Temporary Construction Supervisor- 1 Year Project LOCATION: Booth Building HOURS: 8.00/day, Monday - Friday 260- Days SALARY: $88,854-$105-530 Salary Schedules NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
• AA degree in construction management or a related field
• 3 years in a supervisory or management
• Or combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the candidate is likely to possess the skill, knowledge, ability to perform job requirements.
• Previous supervisory experience in school construction.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required but would be useful to the position)
• Experience in K-12 public education or a large, multi-unit public sector
• Experience working with or in culturally diverse communities or constructing physical facilities in school districts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and review design/construction project scopes and assist in developing project.
• Participate in planning meetings with design team.
• Conduct regular reviews of schematic design drawings, design development drawings and construction documents.
• Assist with development of timelines and critical path scheduling, including phasing to facilitate ongoing school activities.
• Assist with pre/post construction planning with contractors and school.
• Oversee on-site construction observations and document.
• Provide periodic construction progress reports for capital projects.
• Assist with change order requests as needed.
• Oversee development and successful completion of punch list.
• Assist with coordination of project completion, collection of close-out documents, and processing final payments.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure District needs are being met.
• Demonstrated strong verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills.
• Making sound and reasonable decisions in accordance with laws, ordinances, regulations, and established procedures
