Position Overview Substitute Paraprofessionals work alongside certified teachers to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, or personal care needs. You may work one-on-one with a specific student, assist small groups, or provide general classroom support. Key Responsibilities
• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and lesson activities. • Reinforce learning concepts individually or in small group settings. • Provide positive behavioral encouragement and support. • Assist students with transitions, mobility, or personal care needs as required. • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent. • Ability to pass a FBI/BCI criminal background check (completed via District HR). • Valid Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (HR will assist you with the application process if needed!). • Strong patience, communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children.
