Tutor TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Graduation from high school.
• Candidates must possess an associate's degree, successful completion of 48 semester hours or score at least a level Four or higher on all three portions (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy & Workplace Documents) of the WorkKeys exam.
• Possession of an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the local board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities:
• Provides supplemental academic assistance to students
• Conducts instructional activities assigned by the content teacher with individual students or small groups
• Collaborates with content teachers regarding the progress and individual needs of students
• Collaborates with the content teacher to deliver differentiated instruction for students based on available local and state student data
• Assists the content teacher in preparing instructional materials
• Maintains appropriate records and reporting tools regarding services and student progress
• Attends required training sessions to learn strategies for working with students
• Participates in staff development programs to improve job performance
