About this role

NON-NEGOTIABLE STARTING SALARY IS $70,000. Job Summary Plans and carries out certificated staffing for schools and assists in recruitment of teachers. Staffs and monitors teacher, paraprofessional, and other non-certificated positions. Maintains listings of vacancies and coordinates procedures for staffing schools with certificated personnel and non-certificated personnel in over 60 schools. Essential Functions 1. Advises Principals on utilization of certificated and paraprofessional personnel in the schools in terms of effectiveness, program implementation and diversity of staff. 2. Audits school personnel allocations for position control purposes. 3. Supervises and trains assigned staff, conducts performance appraisals, makes employment and discipline recommendations, and coordinates work assignments. 4. Supports and sponsors new teachers, provides career counseling, and performs exit interviews. 5. Processes the file of applications for certificated and paraprofessional positions in schools. 6. Maintains rosters of schools via SAP Human Resources module. 7. Coordinates and approves the movement of instructional and paraprofessional personnel in schools. Assigns teachers and paraprofessionals returning to work. 8. Recruits, interviews, and staffs schools by selecting teachers and paraprofessionals from applications received. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred. Experience: Three (3) years experience in school administration or human resources with experience in staffing preferred. Certifications & Licenses: NA Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Knowledge of Human Resource related laws, regulations, policies, and collective bargaining agreements · Knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, procedures, methods and theories · Knowledge of certification and highly qualified regulations and requirements for school certificated and non-certificated personnel · Process, workflow, and procedure design skills · Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills · Word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills · Human Resource Information Systems skills (SAP preferred) · Ability to develop and recommend personnel and educational policies and procedures related to staffing · Ability to develop, monitor, and evaluate recruiting procedures · Ability to interpret union contracts
