About this role
• Must meet district Teacher Assistant (TA) requirements
• Must be highly qualified
• Associates degree
• Or minimum 60 college credits, or take and pass the ETS Parapro Assessment with a score of 460 or score 480 on SAT reading and writing and a 530 on math.
• Ability to work with children in a caring, nurturing manner
• Experience with teaching reading and writing skills
• Consistent and punctual attendance
• Ability to be flexible with varying student needs and schedule changes
• Effective communication skills (oral & written) with a variety of staff and students
• Must demonstrate initiative, positive teamwork and organization skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to monitor and manage student behavior
