• Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
• Special education classroom teaching experience preferred
• Mentoring or instructional coaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance
Position Overview The IDEA Compliance Coach/Resource Teacher is a split position that provides direct special education services to students while supporting special education staff with IDEA compliance, IEP development, progress monitoring, and effective instructional practices. Essential Duties
• Provide specially designed instruction to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Manage an assigned special education caseload, including developing, implementing, and monitoring compliant IEPs.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain required special education documentation.
• Monitor student progress and report progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, related service providers, and school staff to support student needs.
• Coach and support special education teachers with IEP development, goal writing, progress monitoring, and IDEA compliance.
• Model effective special education instructional strategies and provide guidance on accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction.
• Support teachers with district special education procedures and required timelines.
• Assist with alternate assessment planning and implementation.
• Provide professional learning and individualized coaching based on staff needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
