POSITION: Delivery Driver II LOCATION: Dining Services - Service Center HOURS: 5 Hours Per Day (7:00am - 12:00pm) DAYS: 202 Days Per Year (August through June) (will be prorated based on start date) SALARY: $20.12 - $27.04 Per Hour (Range B) START DATE: August 31, 2026, or when filled APPLICATION DEADLINE: August 27, 2026 or Open until filled JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT/S: The position of Delivery Driver II transports school and dining services supplies, dining services revenue from district buildings over designated routes. This driver is also responsible for loading and unloading delivered items. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Drive vehicles for the purpose of transporting supplies to designated sites.
• Report vehicle maintenance requirements to supervisor.
• Prepare daily and weekly bank deposits from dining service revenue.
• Prepare shipments for the purpose of filling orders.
• Unload items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS – QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience Preferred: Experience in delivery, transportation, loading and unloading.
• Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
Skills to safely drive utility vehicle. Operate vehicles for extended periods of time. Develop good rapport with other employees. Knowledge of safe driving practices. Skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including students. Must be methodical, well organized and able to multi-task. Abilities to walk for prolonged periods, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, drive for extended periods, read maps and schedules, adhere to route schedules and maintain written records. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, balancing stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations and other sounds (potential hazards), near/far visual acuity/depth perception/visual accommodation/field of vision. Ability to transfer up to 50 lb. containers to/from carts, dolly, etc. Some assignments may require working in inclement conditions. Ability to speak a second language preferred.
• Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Valid driver's license and Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance (applicant agrees to assume cost upon offer of employment).
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary to be established on classified salary schedule. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
