Job Title: Schools Out Assistant Site Director Location: District Assigned Location Job Group: Non Union Support Staff- Schools Out Pay Level: Non-Exempt, Grade 13 Reports to: Schools Out Site Director Summary: Responsible for assisting a site-specific School's Out Site Director in programming, planning, supervision, and related activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in the daily operation of the afterschool program by:

• Interacting with students, staff, parents, and the school community in a constructive manner to create a positive, welcoming learning environment.

• Providing supervision to students. Ensures guidelines for participation, inclusion, conduct, and discipline are followed to maintain a safe, enjoyable learning environment.

• Monitoring student transitions and dismissal from activities.

• Serving as a liaison and maintaining relationships with students, school administrators, parents/guardians, volunteers, and community members.

• Assists with the planning, coordination, and supervision of students for monthly field trips.

• Attends meetings as needed.

• Providing regular reports and/or feedback to the Site Director containing a summary of activities, recommended actions, needs, concerns, and success highlights. Reports incidents involving students and/or staff immediately to the School's Out Coordinator.

• Supervises staff and mentors new employees.

• Assist the Site Director in administrative processes including, but not limited to: attendance, data collection and entry, training staff, communications, activity planning, performing enrollment procedures, supply and snack purchases, and staff evaluations.

• Participates in training and professional development, as determined appropriate, by the School's Out Program Assistant Administrator.

• May perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: assuming responsibility for program operations in the absence of the School's Out Site Director or Assistant Program Administrator. Such responsibility may also include supporting the Early Education Program.

Supervisory Responsibilities: In the absence of the Site Director may perform supervisory responsibilities of program activities and staff as directed by the Site Director or program Administrator. Assists with interviewing and hiring and with student supervision and problem resolution. All responsibilities are carried out in accordance with District policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws. Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability, and delivering exceptional customer service. Education and/or Experience: Associate's Degree or the equivalent course work and experience preferred. Experience in program administration and previous school employment preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certified in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR.) Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI), Basic Specialized Care must be completed within the first year of employment. Other Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge in instructional strategies, developmental learning, communication strategies, use of age-appropriate materials, and specialized instructional techniques (vocational skills, social skills, speech-language skills.) Knowledge of learning disabilities, cognitive impairments, autism spectrum disorders, and communication impairments. Knowledge of special education teaching methods, theories, and laws. Good understanding of standard classroom operations and teaching methods; good ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form and demonstrated active listening and advocacy skills. Ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board policies.
