REPORTS TO Principal
JOB SUMMARY Provide administrative support to the supervising administrator in a manner that is professional, diplomatic, and complies with confidentiality requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the office. 2. Perform receptionist/clerical duties including but not limited to answering phones and directing calls; greeting and assisting visitors; opening, processing and distributing mail; typing forms, letters, reports, correspondence, memos; screen callers, assist and address concerns for parents regarding attendance issues. 3. Oversee and verify the accuracy of the time reporting for professional and support personnel as appropriate. 4. Produce and maintain reports as assigned. 5. Assist with the development and implementation of the budget as directed by the supervising administrator. 6. Assist the supervising administrator in preparation of documents for presentations and meetings. 7. Assist district staff and other stakeholders by providing administrative support functions as directed by the supervising administrator. 8. Assist with clerical functions relating to student issues at the direction of the supervising administrator. 9. Maintain student records and data as directed. 10. Prepare for school opening and closing as directed by the supervising administrator. 11. Coordinate with stakeholders to provide adequate instructional coverage. 12. Update and maintain building use calendar as directed. 13. Serve as a positive role model for students in all aspects of performance, demonstrating pride in the honorable profession of public education.
MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist with student needs as appropriate. 2. Monitor secure access of building. 3. Monitor the transportation communication system. 4. Participate in meetings, workshops and conferences as required. 5. Support public education and student achievement. 6. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS - Associates degree in related field - Proficiency and accuracy in typing of 50 words per minute - Must possess experience and knowledge of secretarial skills - Must possess technology skills - Must possess organizational skills - Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code) - Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code) - Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994 - Submission of Federal Criminal History Record in accordance with Act 114 of 2006
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Ability to reach above and below the waist - Ability to use fingers to pick, feel and grasp objects - Ability to use both hands for repetitive motion - Ability to lift/carry supplies weighing no more than 30 lbs. - Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time during the workday
