We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Tech to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Pentonville, a category B Prison located in London.

HMP Pentonville is a male prison that has a capacity for 1200 inmates, it is a remand prison for inmates awaiting trial. Well situated in London and is 10 minutes from Kings Cross station. Free parking.

Hours 37.5 Mon -Fri 9am - 5pm Some weekends would be required for cover Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £48,200 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Supervise pharmacy technicians and support of the development of junior staff Oversea the administration and medicines management, working across our primary care and substance misuse wings Provide health promotion advice to our men in areas such as giving up smoking, hypertension, healthy living and other minor ailments If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Qualifications required

NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent Accuracy Checking Technician qualification Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD) Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
