Facilitate practice development within the the endoscopy team, creating an effective learning environment. This will include all members of the team.
Develop and maintain policies and documentation.
Design and implement programs for new starters including induction and competencies.
Ensure that a robust training program is in place in line with JAG
Support the unit/backfill when there are staff shortages.
The Practice Education Facilitator will continually facilitate a culture of life long learning and develop knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and values expected of endoscopy nurses, technicians and healthcare staff.
Hours per week: 37.5

Main duties of the job
To work closely with all members of the team and ensure that they are accountable and competent within their roles.
Coordinate and monitor and support staff ensuring that they are delivering high standards of care to patients.
Update policies and training programs
Guide and support staff with e-learning and JETS workforce.

Qualifications Essential
Registered R.G.N. (Registered General Nurse) or ODP. (Operating Department Practitioner)
Desirable
First degree in Nursing/ Professional Practice / Health & Social Care or similar Teaching and assessing qualification
Previous Experience Essential
Demonstrable experience in the Endoscopy setting with post qualification. Evidence of continued professional development. Can demonstrate experience of leading a team and/ or instigating change within the workplace. Can demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability Essential
Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Able to manage own time and workload prioritising accordingly Able to demonstrate effective management, interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills. Evidence of the ability to lead, manage, coordinate, delegate and motivate an Endoscopy team and review performance. Understanding of the skills and knowledge required to develop team members. Experience of mentorship and an ability to identify learning and development needs. Evidence of up to date knowledge of relevant issues related to practice and education at local and national level
