About this role

Job summary

We are a small, dedicated team which consists of a senior partner, 2 salaried GP's, an ANP, a senior Practice Nurse, pharmacists, a physiotherapist and an admin team. Our list size is roughly 5400 at the moment.

The Practice Nurse will work as part of our clinical team at Grovehill Medical Centre. The role will be for 14 hours over 2 days.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will provide services in long term condition management, child immunisations, travel vaccines, smears, dressings, blood tests, national vaccination programmes (shingles, pneumo, flu etc). Also, they would be responsible for clinical stock management and ensuring CQC compliance.

Ear syringing

NHS Health Checks (which also includes patient counselling and advice)

Phlebotomy

Managing of long term conditions (including Spirometry/FeNo testing)

Wound dressings/clip and suture removal

Assisting GP with minor surgery

Stock management for the clinical department

Maintenance of clinical and surgical equipment

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Experience in primary care Proven ability to work as a part of a team Able to work independently Excellent oral and written communication skills Has the ability to organise and prioritise workloads

Qualifications Essential

NMC registered
