Main duties of the job

Ward 12C is a 22 bedded Elective surgical unit. we are general surgery which comprises breast, bowel, orology, plastics, ENT and Gynae. there are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and be a part of a dynamic and innovative surgical team

Person Specification

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge Essential

An understanding of the importance of patient confidentially and privacy. Recognise how patients and colleagues need to be treated with dignity and respect and can demonstrate these behaviours in their daily work. Good verbal and written English communication skills. The ability to respond with kindness and humanity to patients. A flexible and adaptable approach with the aptitude to work in a busy hospital healthcare setting. Basic knowledge of health and safety with an awareness of the importance of following Trust policies and procedures.

Experience Essential

Experience of working with people, ideally in a front-line customer service role.

Desirable

Experience of providing person centred care.

Education, Qualification & Training Essential

Level 2 or Level 3 (NVQ) in health and Social Care or equivalent relevant experience Willing to work towards Level 2 functional skills (Math & English Care Certificate/working towards

Special Circumstances Essential

Ability to work agreed shift patterns designed to meet service needs. Can demonstrate self-motivation and ability to motivate others

Demonstrates some insight into the fundamentals and complexity of care and care delivery
