Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Recovery support worker to join the Acute Day Services Team at Zinnia centre and Small heath Health Centre.
The role will be within Day Service Team team offering support to patients from Acute and Urgent care settings; the applicant must have significant experience of working within a health/social care setting, and it is desirable that you have experience or knowledge of working with Mental Health issues. The post holder will take responsibility for an identified psych ed group session and provide outreach and signposting to third sector support services.
You will be working alongside a highly skilled and experienced multi-disciplinary team of Nursing, Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy and Psychology to collaboratively set goals with patients to aid recovery .
Main duties of the job
You will ensure that there are effective care pathways to a range of services that will enhance individual recovery. This will be achieved by ensuring close liaison with identified partners and community organisations including employment /training providers, housing and mental health. You will also provide low intensity psychosocial interventions to service users on caseload. You will be able to signpost services users to the appropriate facilities and provide support and help through a CBT approach.

Appropriate diploma level qualification in health or social care Significant experience of working within a health/social care setting, for EG. HCA/OTTO/Assistant Psychologist

Experience of working within a Mental Health Setting knowledge of housing/benefits system/local resources Phlebotomy trained Completion of counselling course or equivalent
