Are you an organised, adaptable, and proactive individual who enjoys variety in your work. We are looking for a Flexible Business Support Administrator to join our Physical Health Service, providing essential support across multiple teams.
No two days are the same in this role. While you will provide reception cover when required, your primary focus will be supporting three different teams across the service, stepping in where demand is greatest and ensuring our patients and staff continue to receive an excellent service.
This is a unique opportunity to develop a broad understanding of physical health services, build relationships with a wide range of professionals. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys learning new skills, and takes pride in making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a welcoming and professional reception service when required.Offer administrative support across multiple physical health teams.Adapt quickly to changing priorities and service needs.Manage appointments, referrals, correspondence, and patient records.Support teams during periods of annual leave, sickness absence, and increased demand.Build effective working relationships with colleagues across the service.Help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and excellent patient experience.This role is for 34 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
To support the Reception, Therapies, Community Paediatric Medical and Community Nursing Service.To work as part of a skill mix team to provide comprehensive administrative support to the serviceTo effectively prioritise and manage own workload and oversee workload of team as necessary, whilst maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy at all times, as you will be working with extremely confidential and sometimes distressing informationTo work flexibly and be willing to cover any administration tasks across the wider Business Support teamsProduce letters and/or emails using standard Trust templates, ensuring accurate filing, recording and distributionTo work without direct supervision and show extensive use of initiative in prioritising and making decisions in relation to effectively supporting the smooth operation of the serviceTo carry out other duties as necessary to meet the changing needs of Solent NHS Trust, in accordance with management requirements and appropriate to bandingAll duties will be carried out within the Trusts Information Governance, recording, and data sharing procedures and guidanceOccasional home working at weekends will be required.
