People/HR Adviser (Fixed term for 1 year, maternity cover)

£31,960.50-£36,348.00 per annum dependent of experience/qualifications

Full time 37.5 hours a week, Monday- Friday

Hybrid working involving 2 office days in Stockport and homeworking for 3 days.

Main duties of the job

We are now looking for an experienced People/HR Adviser to join our friendly and professional People team for a fixed term period of 1 year to support maternity cover. This is a true generalist role and is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their HR experience in a healthcare environment.

About youo An experienced People/HR Advisero Professional membership- CIPD Level 3 qualificationo Desirable to hold or be working towards the completion of the CIPD Level 5 qualification.o Previous experience of managing an ER caseload from start to finish.o A good knowledge of employment law and best practise and be confident in providing advice.o Experience of the full recruitment and retention life cycle including advertising, onboarding, and leaver processes.o Experience of working in a healthcare environment would be beneficial but not essential.o Excellent IT skills- Microsoft Office and ability to produce and analyse data.o Knowledge and experience of HR softwareo Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and managers.o Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.o Resilient and can work under pressure.

The key elements of your role will include; advising on policies and procedures, managing an employee relations caseload and providing effective advice and support to managers support the team with recruitment, onboarding and training. work closely with the Senior People Adviser and People Director to support with employee engagement and deliver and drive new initiatives. policy development deliver HR training. produce excellent MI data to support with HR reporting. attend monthly HR surgeries with managers reviewing people data, providing advice and solutions for improvement. support with the development and introduction of HR systems ensuring staff are trained and reporting tools are utilised.

CIPD qualified level 5 qualified or working towards course completion

Experience Essential

Previous experience of working in a HR Adviser role Previous experience of supporting with Employee Relations cases from start to finish including effective case management Previous experience of advising on policies and procedures Previous experience of producing and analysing MI data Previous experience of recruitment, retention and onboarding processes Previous experience of employee engagement Knowledge and experience of HR software

Desirable

Experience of working in a Health or Social care organisation

Understanding of HR processes and procedures Excellent understanding of employee relation issues and employment law Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Can demonstrate an appreciation of confidentiality and exercise discretion Excellent problem-solving abilities to be applied to all areas of People practice.
