Job summary
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.
We are a consultant-led team of sexual health clinicians which offers high-quality, confidential sexual health services. We provide integrated sexual health clinics across East Kent (including Swale) and Medway which offer screening and treatment for sexual transmitted infections; contraception including long acting reversible contraception; HIV treatment and care services; young people's services and sexualhealth promotion.
Our clinics provide appointments and walk-in sessions across East Kent (including Swale) and Medway. We support pharmacies that are providing free emergency hormonal contraception to under 30-year olds in Kent and Medway. Our specialist trained therapists also deliver psychosexual therapy services across Kent.
Main duties of the job
o Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating holistic care in relation to care planning/pathwayso Developing integrated care programmes in partnership with service users, commissioners and key stakeholders.o Ensuring a supervision framework is in place for staff under their care and support in the development of relevant competencies across staff groupso Actively working as a member of the integrated team to ensure high quality care is provided to service users.o Maintaining own specialist area of competence, and leading on the competency frameworks for others o Having the ability to synthesise information in order to present proposals effectively to decision makers (including Directors and Senior Executives) in ways which facilitate their understanding and influence pathwayso Making recommendations to decision makers in order to drive forward innovative solutions to achieve business objectives, service improvement strategies and financial efficiencies linked to packages of prescribed care or identified projects

Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience Essential
Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject Registered health care professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Proven ability to work effectively within your area of practice, supported by relevant experience Experience managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others
Knowledge & Skils Essential
Sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing. Able to use IT systems and databases Knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks Understand where to signpost clients and families to alternative services to support behaviour change and improve health
Desirable
Awareness of developments within the NHS Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance.
