If you're an HCPC registered Radiographer looking for flexible bank work in a supportive hospital environment, we'd love to hear from you. Join our imaging team at Ilford Hospital and play a vital role in delivering safe, high quality patient care across a range of radiographic services.
This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible optionbut it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.
As our Bank Radiographer, you'll undertake a wide range of radiographic duties to a high professional standard, supporting the smooth and effective running of the department.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
General X-ray, mobile and theatre radiography Maintaining accurate patient and technical records Ensuring correct patient identification and examination protocols Supporting safe and effective patient care Maintaining compliance with radiation protection and IR(ME)R guidelines Reporting equipment faults and promoting safe working practices Working closely with clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team Participating in extended hours or on-call arrangements where required Contributing to continuous service improvement and professional development
About us
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
BSc Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers (DCR) Current HCPC registration Evidence of ongoing CPD General Radiography experience Current BLS, manual handling and fire safety training Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently and as part of a team Good IT skills and attention to detail A flexible, adaptable and patient-focused approach Desirable experience includes MRI, clinical audit work and experience within an acute hospital setting.
