Job summary
Do you have a couple of days a week to spare and a desire to make a real difference? We're looking for friendly, motivated volunteers to join our supportive administrative team within the Community Learning Disability team and play a vital role in the day-to-day running of NHS services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain new skills, build confidence, and see first-hand how the NHS works from an essential administrative perspective. You'll be fully supported and guided as you develop a strong foundation of knowledge in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Main duties of the job
The volunteer is required to work within the list of tasks identified as follows:
Responding to enquiries in a polite manner and ensuring an appropriate response is initiated.
Photocopying
Filing
Scanning
Confidential shredding
Stocking up supplies / stock control
Report any concerns to the Supervisor / Service Manager
Ad-hoc administration duties required to support admin function
Collation of data and use of Microsoft packages
Contacting patients to remind them of upcoming clinical appointments
