This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a strategic and influential professional to play a pivotal role in ensuring that our services are sustainably funded and we are viewed as a key partner in delivering statutory responsibilities, system sustainability and value based population health outcomes for babies, children and families.
Main duties of the job
You will be the strategic lead for commissioning and statutory partnerships, positioning Naomi and Jack's as a valued and trusted partner within the health and care system.
Key responsibilities include:
Building and strengthening relationships with commissioners, ICBs, ICSs and Local AuthoritiesLeading commissioning, tendering and contract management activityIdentifying and securing new statutory funding opportunitiesDeveloping compelling business cases, bids and service specificationsMonitoring commissioning priorities and influencing future service provisionSupporting service innovation and organisational growthRepresenting Naomi and Jack's in strategic forums and national networksWorking collaboratively with clinical, finance, fundraising and leadership teams to maximise impact and sustainability.
About us
Naomi and Jack's is a hospice supporting medically complex children, young adults and their families across the central south of England.
Referrals for young adults outside of our catchment area are also considered.
Naomi and Jack's nursing and medical staff provide individualised care that helps to enhance short lives and supports families to make the most of their precious time with their children.
Jack's Place is the only hospice for young adults in the south of England. The medical and care teams offer specialist care, often over many years, and uphold the dignity and independence of young adults accessing the service.

As we continue to develop our services and strengthen our position within the health and social care system, we are seeking an experienced and ambitious Commissioning Partnerships Manager to join our leadership team.
Person Specification
You will bring: Essential
Significant experience within health, social care or education Strong knowledge of NHS commissioning and contracting processes Experience building partnerships across complex organisations and systems Excellent influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills Experience developing bids, business cases and strategic proposals Strong analytical and project management abilities A passion for improving outcomes for children, young adults and families
Experience within an Integrated Care Board, commissioning environment or children's palliative care setting would be advantageous.
