Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist to join Foxglove Ward at St Martins Hospital, Canterbury.
The post holder will be responsible for medical leadership and work collaboratively with other members of the MDT to deliver quality care to patients on the ward.
Main duties of the job
This is a 10 PA per working week post (Per ward) within the Acute Directorate providing senior medical input and leadership to Acute Mental Health services involving inpatient. The post holder will be responsible for the Foxglove Ward based at St Martins Hospital, Littlebourne Road Canterbury Kent CT1 1TD. Foxglove ward is an 18 bed inpatient ward for patients aged 18 and above.

Person Specification
Transport Essential
Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
Training, Qualifications and Registration Essential
MB BS or equivalent medical qualification Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
Desirable
Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management MRCPsych Additional clinical qualifications. In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice On the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months Approved Clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
Clinical Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential
