Main duties of the job As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, patient care, and resources within a community hospital ward. The role involves providing supportive leadership to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care and efficient use of resources in patient rehabilitation. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help prevent avoidable hospital admissions and support timely discharges in coordination with the Integrated Neighbourhood Care Team and other partners. Deliver expert nursing care, promote best practices, and guide staff in maintaining quality standards. Offer professional advice, recognize personal limitations, and seek support when needed. Ensure the unit meets all CQC requirements with appropriate evidence. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the team through changes and the development of our service and provide a positive and visible clinical presence on the ward. You will be part of a supportive and friendly senior ops team across the four inpatient wards in Wiltshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader- passionate about high standards of patient care and keen to develop within our strong, supportive, friendly and established multidisciplinary team.
You will be a great role model, leading by example to inspire the team around you to provide exceptional holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Practice.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the team through changes and the development of our service and provide a positive and visible clinical presence on the ward.
