We are looking for a professional, confident Ward Manager who can lead, inspire & oversee the delivery of the very best care.
You'll be working40 hours a week (Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm on Upper Ward) at Cygnet Acer Clinic.
Cygnet Acer Clinic is a 28 bed service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs or acute mental health needs.
Upper Ward:
Acer Upper is a mental health acute service for women, based at Cygnet Acer Clinic in Derbyshire.
The ward provides assessment and treatment for women experiencing a mental health crisis who require an emergency admission.
Our team works closely and collaboratively with service users, their families and the referrer to provide a seamless pathway from referral to discharge. Our approach is recovery focused and supported by a comprehensive multidisciplinary team, contributing to shorter lengths of stay.
We also benefit from a highly specialised personality disorder service on site, and can offer a pathway for women that may require an extended therapy programme.
Your day-to-day
Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the wardContribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitorsInitiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staffEnsure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) basedAdvise non-clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illnessEnsure patients rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to.You are
