Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avalon Court Care Home in Coventry, you will join our award-winning team and work from 19:45 pm to 08:00 am. Your main responsibilities include supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care and providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. In addition, you will monitor the wellbeing of each resident, participate in person-centred care planning, assist with medication requirements, conduct staff supervisions, and act as a key point of contact for residents and their relatives. To qualify, you must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, at least two years of experience in a similar environment, strong communication skills, the ability to support and nurture residents and staff, and flexibility to cover various responsibilities. Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
