Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll take on a critical role in looking after the various needs of our residents, enabling us to offer quality, person-centred care and support. Your responsibilities will include supervising and motivating a team of dedicated Care Assistants in collaboration with the Deputy General Manager. You will also support the clinical team in tasks such as medication management, assessments, care plans, or care reviews. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintaining the dignity and preferences of our residents while creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment. Required qualifications include an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, along with knowledge of elderly clinical care. Opportunities for career progression into roles like Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or even nursing are available through ongoing training.
