Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dynamic Staff Nurses to join our expanding ambulatory neighbourhood clinic service. We have sites citywide providing care to ambulatory patients in clinic settings with referrals from primary care and LCH neighbourhood teams. We will work with you to develop your own personal development plan. The service runs Monday to Friday, covering more than one clinic location weekly and you will be required to provide annual leave and sickness cover at other locations around the city for service needs.
The post holder will be providing clinical treatment in a clinic setting working solo but will have access to senior clinicians for advice via MS teams or phone.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for:
Managing complex wounds, Line Care, Catheter Care, Wound Care, Injections, suture removal etc.
Managing a caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner
Complete clinical training needs and development, caseload reviews and in service training.
Attend clinical supervision regularly
Managing your clinic diary which will involve clinical decision making
Provide clinical support and advice to administration, as well as patients/relatives/carers.
Promote self-management where indicated for the patient
Support and oversee student placements within the services
Working closely with colleagues in Neighbourhood teams, GP Practices and LCH Services providing the best care for patients.
Main duties of the job:
Work alongside District Nurses, Community Matrons, Occupational and Physiotherapists, Neighbourhood Clinical Assistants, Therapy Assistant Practitioners and Self Management Facilitators in one MDT to provide truly holistic care for our patients.
