Job SummaryYou will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command - NAVSUP ofNAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SIGONELLA, SICILY, ITALY.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing documents associated with service calls, work requests, project development, and construction oversight to provide monthly status briefings to leadership; 2) Making recommendations utilizing sound engineering and estimating judgment in decisions when confronted with technical problems associated with ongoing projects to determine and execute the appropriate actions when dealing with possible conflicts created between project/work requirements and mission requirements; 3) Utilizing personal computers, office software applications, and other management information systems in order to perform word processing, prepare spreadsheets, charts & graphs, develop databases, track projects, and create reports; and, 4) Analyzing procedures, regulations and policies related to the Purchase Card Program and commercial sources and common business practices to prepare Purchase Requests for material supplies and services needed for local facilities. Major DutiesYou will coordinate with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and/or service provider to ensure smooth work execution.You will develop the proposed master schedule and presents to responsible supervisors at monthly scheduling meetings.You will evaluate the effectiveness of the service provider's performance by analyzing completed work authorization documents.You will determine the causes of substandard performance and recommends corrective action.You will conduct site visits to evaluate facility condition and develops the initial Scope of Work (SOW) for a facility improvements/maintenance that are submitted for completion/execution.You will estimate the total budgetary requirements needed to support the proposed facility projects.You will work closely with the Business Planning and Execution Director to monitor budget expenditures to make recommendations to shift resources to fund unforeseen emergencies.You will develop/manage the overall Command Safety Program including but not limited to conducting safety inspections, preparation/review of accident reports, and review accident data for trend analysis.
